Bentonville Parks & Recreation will host a public meeting, on Thursday, January 18 at 6 p.m., to discuss the future of Bella Vista Lake Park. This meeting will occur at the Bentonville Community Center, located at 1101 SW Citizens Circle.
In October 2017, Bentonville City Council voted to move forward with a master plan project for the 132 acre Bella Vista Lake Park. This project, funded with a grant from the Walton Family Foundation, evaluates the park property and researches multiple design possibilities for a possible park renovation project.
Parks and Recreation will use this public meeting to identify potential recreation amenities for the park. Citizens in attendance will be asked to participate in brainstorming sessions to identify potential amenities that may be included in the future design(s). All interested citizens are encouraged to attend this public meeting, as their input will is important for the future use of the park.
Prior to the public meeting, a subcommittee meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. The subcommittee meeting will also occur at the Bentonville Community Center. This infrastructure subcommittee meeting will include members of Bentonville City Staff, Bentonville City Council, and members of Friends of Little Sugar Creek.
