Committees

Committee work and volunteering are great ways to get involved in the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce. You must be a member to join a committee.

Ambassador Committee provides outreach and support to Chamber members through direct contact. Ambassadors attend ribbon cuttings, greet members at networking events, attend new member orientations and refer potential members to the chamber staff. This committee is active year round and attends a quarterly luncheon.

Total Resource Campaign is a program that has proven to dramatically increase revenues, grow membership and develop organizational leadership. Members benefit from increased business and community awareness. The community benefits from accelerated growth created by successful well-funded Chamber programs.

Education Committee meets monthly, or as needed. The mission of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee is to integrate the business community with the goals and needs of public education both K-12 and post-secondary in the Bentonville area. Members of the business community work together with administrators, faculty and staff of the Bentonville School District and Northwest Arkansas Community College to help build a bridge between education and business. This committee is by invitation.

Golf Tournament Committee plans the Chamber’s annual golf tournaments held in the spring and fall. The committee begins meeting in January and meets every month until the tournament. One follow-up meeting is held at the conclusion of the tournament.

Government Relations Committee is responsible for developing and recommending positions and plans of actions for all levels of government policies effecting small business. It is through this forum that advocacy decisions are made. This committee meets once a quarter.

Membership Committee provides member services to increase and maintain business membership throughout the local community. This committee meets monthly to discuss membership ideas.

NWA Business Women’s Conference Committee plans the annual NWA Business Women’s Conference that is held each September. The committee begins meeting in November and meets monthly until the event. There are several sub-committees including marketing, sponsorship, registration, goody bags and speaker.

NWA Technology Council is made up of technologists who plan the programming for individuals and area businesses whose focus is in technology fields. These businesses gain a competitive edge both locally and globally through education, networking and community involvement. This committee plans the Northwest Arkansas Technology Summit.

Small Business Council is a diverse group of passionate entrepreneurs who act as a catalyst and a voice for small business; integrating the skills and relationships of the Chamber and its members/investors by igniting the imagination and creativity of the small business owners into participative action.

WalStreet Committee is represented by suppliers and third-party providers who serve the Walmart/Sam’s Club community. The purpose of this committee is to guide the direction and to remain relevant to business and industry needs provided through the WalStreet (supplier) events and programs.
