On November 16, 2017, Bentonville Parks and Recreation’s Memorial Park Baseball / Softball Complex was honored as the National Sports Complex of the Year by the United States Specialty Sports Association at their National Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Memorial Park was chosen for this top honor based on several factors including the number of registered participants, types of events / tournaments, quality of the facility and level of service provided to the customer. During the awards presentation, National CEO Don DeDonatis provided high praise for Memorial Park and the Bentonville Parks and Recreation Staff for exceeding participants’ expectations at National Invitational Tournaments and the Fast Pitch World Series hosted here for two consecutive years.
“USSSA is very proud of the partnership we have with Bentonville Parks and Recreation. Their dedication to the overall experience of our customer is unique and inspiring. We are looking for many more years together in this partnership. To be named complex of the year in USSSA puts you in Elite Company as we partner with thousands of parks annually,” said Jeremy McDowell, National Program Director of Fast Pitch Softball for USSSA.
David Wright, Bentonville Parks & Recreation Director, accepted this honor at the National Convention. “On behalf of our team, we are honored to receive an award as prestigious as this, coming from an organization with the credibility of USSSA.
