Kathryn McLay, Senior Vice President, Logistics Walmart U.S. Flow, Walmart Stores, Inc will be for speaker for the August 30 WalStreet Speaker Series. The topic will be OTIF – On Time in Full and the event will be held at the Sam’s Club Home Office Auditorium beginning at 7:00am.
Kathryn McLay currently serves as Senior Vice President for Logistics Walmart U.S. Flow. She started with Walmart in April, 2015 serving as the Vice president of U.S. Finance and Strategy, where she led the Legacy Strategy.
Kathryn commenced her career in 1992 at Deloitte’s and has a Business degree and Postgraduate degree in Psychology. After 7 years in both external and internal audit she moved to Qantas where she was promoted to Internal Audit Manager. In 2001 Kathryn joined Woolworths as the Corporate Audit Manager and completed her professional studies as a CIA.
In 2004 she was appointed as the Head of Audit reporting to the CEO and the Audit Committee Chair and shortly thereafter joined the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors as a Director. In 2007 she was appointed a General Manager for Business Development, as well as the President and Chairman of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In June 2009 she was appointed as the General Manager for Cost, before heading off on maternity leave. Kathryn returned into an operational role as the Northern Logistics Operations Manager for warehouse and transport.
In October 2012 she was appointed as the General Manager of Replenishment and the Board of the ECRA, an industry board made up of Retailers and Suppliers.
Kathryn joined Walmart in April of 2015, where she and her family moved to Bentonville, AR from Australia.
Today Kathryn is tasked with the transformation of Walmart’s supply chain to a digital organization. Kathryn’s portfolio spans supply chain operations from imports to returns; leading 6500 associates flowing 860 million cases per annum.
