David joined Wal-Mart in 1990 in the Tax Department.  In 1996, David transitioned into Merchandising as a buyer in Household Chemicals, and later became a Divisional Merchandise Manager in 2002, overseeing Candy and Tobacco.  David was promoted to Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager in 2004 and assumed responsibility for Dry Grocery (commodity, sides, and meals business).  In 2007, David was asked to build and lead a new Planning and Modular Development organization for all of Wal-Mart US Merchandising, which was a key component of “Merchandise Transformation” in the US business.  In May 2010, David joined the International team and in 2011 began a 4.5 year expat assignment with Walmart China.  Upon returning to the US in June 2015, he assumed responsibility for the Store Layout team for all Walmart US stores.
David and his wife, Jennifer, live in Rogers and have 3 children, Kayla, Katherine (twins 20), and Trevor (16).
