Why Small Business Matters
May 7th, 2019 nearly 200 representatives from the Bentonville area business community gathered to celebrate small business in the epicenter of entrepreneurship.
Small businesses and startups have a huge impact on an area’s economic growth.
Over 99% of U.S. employers are small business owners and collectively employ 57 million people in the U.S.
In 2016, Forbes ranked Northwest Arkansas the third best medium sized city in the nation for white collar job growth, Fast Company ranked it second in the nation for supporting minority owned businesses, and Northwest Arkansas is projected to have the nation’s third fastest growing economy through 2020.
In Arkansas there are over 240,000 small businesses.
