Start in Bentonville, presented by Legacy National Bank, is a two hour session aimed at helping potential entrepreneurs turn their side hustle into their main hustle. Come at 8:30am for networking, coffee and light breakfast items provided by The Buttered Biscuit. At 9:00am, we’ll kick things off with Jeff Amerine, Founding Principal at Startup Junkie, who will discuss how to build your lean canvass. Then we’ll roll into customer development and assessing product/market fit with Ellen Brune, Senior Entrepreneur in Residence at Startup Junkie.

Grow in Bentonville, presented by Arvest, is a two hour session aimed at helping small business owners understand tax planning, financial management systems, and cash flow management. Come at 9:30am for networking, coffee and light breakfast items provided by Snack Lab. At 10:00am, we’ll begin with Judy Coker, an Enrolled Agent in Northwest Arkansas. Judy is an income tax professional, licensed by the US Department of Treasury, to represent taxpayers before all levels of the Internal Revenue Service. Judy is an educator, a planner, and an advocate. She believes that even though she can’t change a small business client’s tax history, she can change their tax future. At 11:00am, Carolyn Kennedy, Director of Treasury Management for Arvest will discuss cash flow management and the affects it can have on your business.

Join us for this informative session at World Trade Center, Arkansas (WTCA) to hear from experts on how to go beyond and capture international markets or get your product or service in with a large retailer. The event begins at 1:30pm with light afternoon refreshments and networking. At 2:00pm, Melvin Torres, Director of Western Hemisphere Trade from WTCA, will discuss how to set your business up to sell internationally. WTCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the only institution in the State of Arkansas to be tasked with aggressively assisting businesses and farmers enter new or expand existing global markets through robust export activities. Approximately 80% of companies that export from Arkansas are small businesses.
