Welcome to the team, Allie Johnston! Allie is an intern for Bentonville Economic Development through the University of Arkansas’ Venture Intern Program. She will graduate in May with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. She is also an intern for the Northwest Arkansas Biodesign Sprints (NABS) program. Following her graduation, Allie will be participating in Smith+Nephew’s Commercial Leadership Development Rotational Program in the orthopedic reconstruction division in Memphis, TN.
In her time with the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber, Allie will be working directly with James Bell, Vice President of Bentonville Economic Development. “We’re thrilled to have Allie as a member of the economic development team,” says Bell. “She is supporting a number of important projects and key activities that will result in both near- and long-term results, including economic development marketing, venture scouting, startup ecosystem development and the Bentonville Beacon Podcast.”
